Leona Aglukkaq's announcement of federal funding to support the placement of 100 family medical residents in rural Canada. Mr. Hoback also commented on NDP Leader Jack Layton's criticism of the investment, and his dismissal of rural Saskatchewan. The text of Mr. Hoback's statement is as follows: Mr. Randy Hoback (Prince Albert, CPC): Mr. Speaker, finding a family doctor continues to be a concern in my riding. I was therefore very pleased last week when the Hon. Minister of Health announced federal funding to support the placement of more than 100 family medical residents in rural Canada. Yet who was the first to complain of this much-needed investment? You guessed it: the leader of the federal NDP. Why was I not surprised when I heard of this criticism?
